Confirm the Category Before You Source
Most manufacturers answering "artificial stone" pour cast concrete into molds and hand-tint it to mimic quarried rock — heavy, rigid units installed like masonry. A separate category, engineered quartz, binds crushed stone with resin into thick slabs for countertops. Angtai's product is neither: it's a thin, inkjet-printed ceramic panel made with water-based, inorganic, non-fired inks — flexible stone, also called soft porcelain or MCM (modified clay material). Confirming which category you actually need avoids a wasted sourcing cycle. The material's full build is explained in Soft Porcelain & MCM Material Explained, and its fire classification is covered under What Does Non-Combustible Mean?
