Flexible vs. Rigid Faux Stone

The soft-porcelain base can bend around columns and irregular walls, while rigid PU and foam panels may be less suitable for curved installations. See curved wall cladding for radius-install guidance.

Angtai reports temperature-range and accelerated-weathering results for selected models. Request the applicable reports and test conditions before exterior specification. Fire performance is product- and assembly-specific, so confirm the relevant classification and complete wall build-up before specifying the series as non-combustible. See flexible stone panel trade-offs for broader comparisons.

Choose by material identity first—flexible MCM rather than quarried stone or rigid foam—then confirm exposure, substrate, fixing method, close-up appearance, and panel replacement requirements. These checks are more useful than selecting by texture name alone.

Where Stone-Look Panels Are Used

Interior feature walls can be installed directly on calcium-silicon board, cement board, OSB, or existing ceramic tile after the substrate is primed with an interface coat. The full preparation sequence is covered in interior stone wall panels.

For exterior facades and rainscreen assemblies, panels are mounted over a ventilated cavity behind cement board or ACM. See rainscreen cladding systems for the assembly details.
