The "luminous" finish is a light-reactive texture, not a light-transmitting material. It looks different under raking light, spotlights, or color-washed accent fixtures than under flat ambient light. This creates the dynamic appearance designers often seek for illuminated walls.
For a stronger illuminated-wall effect, use raking, edge, or perimeter lighting directed across the face. Do not design the assembly assuming that light will transmit through the panel; confirm the lighting layout against a physical sample.
